Our Chairman

George started his career with the Ministry of Defence working on IT Systems and Programme Management. His first involvement with the accounting world saw him build billing and accounting systems for The British Army dealing with many overseas governments. His work took him to many parts of the globe and saw him working in a variety of operational roles. This culminated in him heading up the IT Audit Division for the Royal Navy and subsequently being part of the Capital Programme Executive Team that introduced commercial accounting throughout the MoD.

George joined Ernst&Young in London and was heavily involved in Audits and Project management reviews. He managed the global audit of a global petrochemical company. He was called upon to review investments for senior clients. His Due Diligence work left him a firm believer in Management Accounting as a tool to monitor and manage projects.

He was part of the Programme Management Team for a global telecommunications company implementing what was at the time the largest IT project in Europe. He implemented and managed the Programme Support Office paying attention to the finances. Having realised the importance of IT systems in the provision of accounting data, George was very focussed on the control of such systems. He was a major contributor to ISO 20000 which provides a level of control and management for IT systems.

George has implemented Risk Management for many organisations including a major transport Firm company global responsibilities. He was also involved in the start-up of the Dubai International Finance Centre.

When George first heard about AI he was very keen to get involved as Chairman. His vision was and still is to provide a level of affordable professional training that would enable individuals to achieve the skills to make a real difference. Both to themselves as they embark on a career but also to organisations who will benefit greatly from their skills. One of my main goals is to make runaway projects with no fiscal control a thing of the past.
